The Chocolate Factory Theater presents the world premiere of VESSEL, a new durational performance installation by David Thomson.

The Chocolate Factory Theater has announced its 18th season of performances - the second at its new permanent facility - featuring 10 Commissioned Premieres, 4 Supported Creative Residencies, and partnerships with Abrons Arts Center, ISSUE Project Room, Queens Museum, and The Bushwick Starr.

NYU Skirball presents John Jasperse Projects, in the world premiere of Visitation, a new dance that is part seance and part exorcism, on Friday, September 9 and Saturday, September 10 at 7:30 pm.

New York Live Arts will present an evening of dance with Donna Uchizono Company (DUC), featuring the world premiere of Fire Underground and the Replay Series of State of Heads, today, December 4 - 7 at 7:30pm.

On Monday September 19, 2011, the IT Awards (New York Innovative Theatre Awards), the organization dedicated to celebrating Off-Off-Broadway, and host comedian Harrison Greenbaum, announced the 2011 recipients at the Seventh Annual IT Awards Ceremony at Cooper Union. This year's nominees represent 169 individual artists, 55 productions and 45 theatre companies. In 2011, the IT Awards had the most individual nominees than in any previous season with 169 nominees.

On Monday, August 1, 2011, The New York Innovative Theatre Foundation, the organization dedicated to celebrating Off-Off-Broadway, announced the 2011 nominees at its annual sold-out event at the Carmine Street Recreation Center located at 25 Carmine Street.

The Guthrie presents Peer Gynt, translated and adapted by Robert Bly from the original by Henrik Ibsen. Directed by Tim Carroll, performances run through March 2, 2008 on the Wurtele Thrust Stage at the Guthrie Theater in Minneapolis.

The Guthrie today announced complete casting for the world premiere adaptation of Henrik Ibsen's Peer Gynt starring Mark Rylance.
