Patricia Ann Patts BIO

Patricia Patts was born July 31, 1967 in California. She is one of five children, all of whom were involved in acting or music. She started as a child actor in the early 1970?s performing in local theatre companies in the Pasadena Ca. area. At six she got her first commercial for Mama Celeste Pizza. In 1977, Norman Lear was casting for a new version of The New Little Rascals. Patricia had originally auditioned for Darla, but since she wasn?t the Darla type, they wrote in a new role for her; Rocky. That year she also had a small role in the short lived tv show, A Year at the Top. In 1978, Patricia auditioned, along with 2000 other girls, for one of the roles in the Los Angeles touring production of Annie. She won the coveted title role and went on to play the part in both San Francisco and Los Angeles in 1978-1979. At the same time, Patricia was also the voice of Peppermint Patty for the Peanuts cartoons. She was in two specials, You?re the Greatest Charlie Brown and She?s a Good Skate Charlie Brown. She?s a Good Skate is notable for being the first time an ?adult? voice was heard other then the wah wah, that is typical for adults in the animated series. She also voiced the character in the feature film, Bon Voyage Charlie Brown (and Don?t Come Back), where the gang goes to Paris. Patricia was also featured in The Fantastic Funnies with Keene Curtis who played Daddy Warbucks. She would go on to work on a number of television shows including Archie Bunker's Place, TV 101, Student Exchange (TV movie) The Judge, the Emmy Award Winning K*I*D*S and A Place to Call Home (TV movie) with Linda Lavin of Alice fame. She can also be seen in the films Party Line and For Keeps In 2016, her song "When God Made a Woman" was released as the first track on Erin Mclendon's new album Making It Up As We Go.[5] Patricia also had another song she co-wrote with Amy Taylor and Russel Wix, "Kids Again", that was released in 2016 on Amy's self-titled debut album, lamenting an easier time in childhood and how we all wish we could be Kids Again.[6] In 2017, in anticipation of the 40th Anniversary of the musical Annie, Patricia was invited by Inside Edition to New York with 18 other Annies to celebrate the musical. She was featured on the news show singing Something was Missing from the show. She currently lives outside of Nashville TN and is a songwriter[8], entrepreneur, children?s book writer and dog lover.
