Jan Ravens and Julia Watson are cast in Talking Heads, three of the much-loved classic monologues from British playwriting royalty, Alan Bennett, directed by Watford Palace Theatre's own artistic director Brigid Larmour. Poignant, comic and full of humanity, Talking Heads invites us into the hearts and minds of three peculiarly English ladies - Muriel in her tweed skirt and pearls in Soldiering On, the public-spirited Miss Ruddock in A Lady of Letters, and Susan, the long-suffering Vicar's wife in Bed Among The Lentils.

BBC Two has commissioned factual indie Sundog Pictures to make a film with actor and comedian Tony Slattery, as he searches for a better understanding of the mental health problems he has had for the past 25 years.

Believe it or not, one of the greatest TV shows of our time recently celebrated its 30th anniversary, and what better way to commemorate than with a live Fringe extravaganza at Underbelly's McEwan Hall - for the full month!

Today Underbelly announces the iconic improvisational comedy show Whose Line Is It Anyway? Live at the Fringe featuring Marcus Brigstocke and Phill Jupitus, alongside original improv legends, as part of its Edinburgh Festival Fringe 2019 line-up.

The festival will put the City Centre in the spotlight as it transforms Parliament Street into a village green with the spectacular White Rose Rotunda and Turn Pot Spiegeltents, and host events at the stunning Grand Opera House and pop up venues throughout the city.

The team behind Leicester Square Theatre are celebrating the return of The Great Yorkshire Fringe, with a one-off London gala jam-packed with this year's top festival headliners. Due to health issues, Tony Slattery has sadly had to withdraw from the 2016 national tour of William Nicholson's SHADOWLANDS, and the producers, director and cast wish him a speedy recovery. Denis Lill has kindly agreed to step into the role of Warnie and has joined rehearsals today.

The 2016 national tour of William Nicholson's SHADOWLANDS, directed by Alastair Whatley, will open on 18 February at Guildford's Yvonne Arnaud Theatre, with a national press night on Friday 26 February.
