The Vagrancy Announces Blossoming: A New Play Reading Series


May 19th, May 21st & May 22nd, The Vagrancy announces BLOSSOMING: a new play reading series. The Vagrancy annually selects five playwrights with diverse perspectives to join their playwright's group. Beginning each fall, the writers meet regularly as they craft their plays. The Vagrancy hosts two development workshops wherein the plays are explored with the playwright, actors and a director in a rehearsal setting. BLOSSOMING is the first public reaching of the five original plays. Come be inspired, have a glass of wine, and help the play's development along with post-reading audience talk-backs.

After another sold out run of shows at this year's Hollywood Fringe Festival, Confessions of An Arab Woman was awarded the Encore! Producers' award. Those chosen for the Encore! Producers' Award represent the best of the Hollywood Fringe as selected by venue producers, based on artistic merit and commercial potential. Along with this distinction comes a set of sponsored encore performances.

Benefit Performance of KISS to Raise Funds for Refugees


Odyssey Theatre Ensemble has scheduled an additional performance of the company's currently running production, Kiss, to raise funds for refugees, immigrants and displaced American families. All proceeds from the performance on Wednesday, June 14 at 8 p.m. will go to Santa Ana-based TIYYA Foundation.
