Since 2006, Makayla had been living and working in New York in Theatrical Management for Friedson Enterprises/Leftfield Productions, having managed and associate produced hundreds of productions, concerts, tours, events, and benefits worldwide. Makayla was the NY Office Manager for the national tour ‘Neil Berg’s 100 Years of Broadway’, which was the number one Broadway touring concert in the United States, playing in over 120 cities in 2009-2010 alone.
In January 2011, she began working in Melbourne, Australia as Events Manager for Stage Door Promotions.
From 2011-2013, Makayla was the Associate Producer/GM for ‘Strange Bedfellows’ the musical starring John Wood and Peter Cousens in Melbourne before working alongside Artistic Director Kate Ceberano and Producer Torben Brookman in Creative Programs – Commercial and the Adelaide Cabaret Festival at The Adelaide Festival Centre.
In late 2013 Makayla relocated to Sydney, taking on the role of Associate Producer for World AIDS Day 2013 with UNAIDS Global Advocate Daw Aung San Suu Kyi.
Makayla toured Australia with Bernadette Peters as Production Manager before heading overseas as Company Manager for the Asian tour of CATS.
Last year she also had the pleasure of Executive Producing her first play; Freud's Last Session at the Queensland Performing Arts Centre in Brisbane.
Currently, Makayla is General Manager for the New Zealand/Australian tour of CATS starting Delta Goodrem.
