Hailing from Houston, Texas, Laurel was born into a family of artists and musicians, planting her in the perfect place to cultivate a love for and drive to create music. Starting at a very early age, Laurel was always dressing up as her favorite characters and living out new stories for them that she cooked up in her head. As she got older, her love of dress-up morphed into her love of costuming and make-up, while her love of story weaving turned into a passion for the stage. She fulfilled a childhood dream by participating in the Disney College Internship program, and being a Cast Member with the Mouse himself in Walt Disney World in Orlando, Florida! Being part of the Magic and making other children's dreams come true was one of the most satisfying experiences and just goes to show the power of her imagination both onstage and off.

She is a recent alumna of West Texas A&M University, where she graduated in May of 2018 with her Bachelor of Arts in Musical Theatre and a Minor in Dance Performance.

Her favorite credits include Paradice (Brooklyn the Musical) for which she received the 2017 Kennedy Center American College Theatre Festival (KCACTF) National Award for Outstanding Performance by an Actress in a Musical, Morticia Addams (The Addams Family Musical), Thyona (Big Love), The Witch (Into The Woods), JoAnne (RENT), Magenta (Rocky Horror Show) and The Drowsy Chaperone (The Drowsy Chaperone).

Laurel is always eager to create theatrical magic and couldn't see herself doing anything else. She would love nothing more than to inspire others in the theatre as she herself has been so inspired.
