BIO

Tyler Patterson is a graduate of Columbus High School. He was the Vice President of thespian troupe 5390. Some of his previous works include: Disney's Nemo Jr. the Musical Choreogrpahy Videos in New York City, Click Clack Moo- Cows that Type (ensemble), Antigone (Tireasis), and Seussical The Musical (Horton). Tyler has also received the Ledger Enquirer’s Page One Award in the field of drama and the Joy of Rearcous Award from the Springer Theatre Academy. Tyler directed his first one-act play entitled Night Witches for his senior project. His favorite actresses is none other than iconic Jennifer Holiday who originated the role of Effie White in Dreamgirls and Audra McDonald who peformed in the musical Shuffle Along several months pregnant. Tyler would love to acknowledge his mother also known as "Madre, Mommy, and Mother Dearest", he thanks his mother for supporting his dreams to be the ultimate theatre kid.

On Thursday, May 24 at 7pm, students and supporters from 29 participating schools across the Mid-South will gather at the Orpheum Theatre for the 9th Annual High School Musical Theatre Awards, sponsored in part by Sedgwick, Memphis Audio, and Dean HD and other generous sponsors. Modeled after the Tony® Awards, the High School Musical Theatre Awards recognize achievements in all areas of high school musical theatre.

Hairspray, directed by Scott Wilson is performing at Centennial High School, 1441 Bethel Rd, Columbus, OH 43220. Performances run through March 14th with performances March 12th, 13th & 14th @ 7:00 pm and matinee on Saturday March 14th @ 2:00 pm.
