The Westside Center for Independent Living (WCIL) Associates raised $30,000 at a Sold Out fundraising event held on Friday, April 19th both at the Beverly Hills Tennis Club and the Dorothy Chandler Pavilion where guests enjoyed a performance of the Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater said Jenn Steip, Development Director for WCIL. The performance was part of the series Glorya Kaufman Presents Dance at the Music Center celebrating the 55th Anniversary of the critically acclaimed dance company.

Event tickets will include VIP seating, and food and beverages served to guests at the Beverly Hills Tennis Club; 340 North Maple Drive; Beverly Hills, CA 90210. Singer and keyboardist Aalon will perform during the initial part of the event at the Beverly Hills Tennis Club.

Orlean talked about and signed copies of her latest book, Rin Tin Tin, The Life and The Legend, at the Beverly Hills home of WCIL Associates founder and member, Betty Deutsch on Tuesday, December 13, 2011. Pianist Jeff Lass provided musical entertainment. The function was catered by Susan Kraft.

Robin Hargrove, Resource Development Director of the 33-year-old Westside Center for Independent Living (WCIL), said the Associates Steering Committee, chaired by Suzie Levin, hosted a very successful Theatre Event as this year's 2009 major fundraising social attended by 100 guests.
Award-winning showbiz entertainers, Corky Hale and Charlotte Rae, will perform in a show emceed by Carl Reiner, with Jeff Lass serving as Music Director. The show, 'A Festive Evening For Westside Center for Independent Living,' is a benefit for WCIL.
