The Public Is Invited To Create The Sets At The Strand Theater During Free Fall Community Art Project 10/30

On Friday, October 30th and Saturday, October 31st, 2009 the Strand will open its doors for a Free Fall Community Art Project. All participants will be given a smock, paint brush, and paints and will be offered a piece of the Strand interior wall to create a small mural, doodle, or drawing.

The Strand Theater is proud to present Graves in the Water, an original piece adapted from Edgar Lee Masters' Spoon River Anthology. The Spoon River Anthology is a classic piece, rarely performed, being re-envisioned by two local artists for the Baltimore stage.
Strand Theater Makes Murals, 10/30 & 10/31

On Friday, October 30th and Saturday, October 31st, 2009 the Strand will open its doors for a Free Fall Community Art Project. All participants will be given a paint brush and paints and will be offered a piece of the Strand interior wall to create a small mural, doodle, or drawing. The mural created by the community will then be used as the set for the Strand season production of [SIC] by Melissa James Gibson in November. All participants will receive a credit in the program as set contributors for their art work.

Theatre Project announces its 38th Season Line-up And Performers

Theatre Project Producing Director Anne Cantler Fulwiler has just announced the season line up for the Baltimore institution's new subscription series. The season will include the return of three popular past Theatre Project performers, Sara Felder of Philadelphia (June Bride), Al Letson of Florida (Essential Personnel, Griot, Summer in Sanctuary) and Vermont's Sandglass Theatre (Richard 3.5: Light Ruminations on Murder), and collaborations with three Maryland companies, Performance Workshop Theater, Quest: Arts for Everyone (with White Box Theater), and VT Dance. Fulwiler says of the line-up 'These six shows exemplify our mission goals to support alternative theater, to assist artists in creating new works, and to introduce that work to an appreciative audience of daring theater-goers.
