Carolyn A. Nelson

An actor in the greater Philadelphia region, Carolyn can be seen in Steel Magnolias at Act II Playhouse in February, 2023. Other recent roles include Desiree Armfeld in A Little Night Music, Mamma Mia (Tanya), Dixie Swim Club (Lexie), Cemetery Club (Doris), Our Town (The Stage Manager) and Hay Fever (Judith Bliss). Carolyn has also done national TV commercials and made appearances in daytime dramas (The Young and the Restless, One Life to Live). She has studied acting with Nancy Ponder (HB Studio), Penelope Reed, Lou Lippa, Bi Jean Ngo, among others. With a bachelors degree in Vocal Performance, Carolyn is also a jazz vocalist and released a CD in 2011, Come a Little Closer (check it out on Pandora!). She performs locally with jazz guitarist Sonny Troy. When not performing, Carolyn enjoys ballroom dancing, skiing, golf and travel.
