Loretta Siani Stars in THERE'S NO BUSINESS LIKE SHOW BUSINESS Image

A tribute to the music of Irving Berlin will be performed in a cabaret concert on Sunday, September 23, 2018 at 2 PM in the Arthur Newman Theatre in Palm Desert. The show is entitled "There's No Business Like Show Business" and will star local singer Loretta Siani with piano accompaniment by Wayne Abravanel. Tickets are $15 cash only, with doors opening at 1 PM at the Arthur Newman Theatre in the Joslyn Center, 73750 Catalina Way in Palm Desert.

Loretta Sinai returns to the Arthur Newman Theatre following two previous successful shows. Ms. Siani, who has been singing since she was a teenager, uses her rich contralto voice and heart-felt, charismatic delivery to make her performances inspirational and genuine. Loretta will be combining familiar songs from Broadway shows by Irving Berlin, many of them finding their way in to Hollywood musicals, as well as recorded by numerous recording artists and becoming Standards in The Great American Songbook. Along with the songs, Loretta will add some history and background on each in her own 'story-telling' way, which she's known for by her many fans. Loretta, who's recorded a CD of inspirational songs entitled I Believe, is an author and a motivational speaker, and often invited to sing the National Anthem at sporting and civic events. Her pianist and musical director for this debut show will be fellow performer, Wayne Abravanel, who is also known around in the Desert for his own works.

"There's No Business Like Show Business" starring Loretta Siani with Wayne Abravanel on piano is at 2 PM, Sunday, September 23, 2018 in the Arthur Newman Theatre at the Joslyn Center, 73750 Catalina Way in Palm Desert. Tickets are $15 cash only and sold at the door that opens at 1 PM with open seating beginning at 1:30. For more information, call 760-325-2731, or go to: www.lesmichaels.com/joslyn.
