Orlando Repertory Theatre presents NANCY DREW IN HER BIGGEST CASE EVER

By:

Completing its 2016 - 2017 professional season, Orlando Repertory Theatre (The REP) presents Nancy Drew and Her Biggest Case Ever (April 10 - May 14, 2017). This production is presented by OUC and supporting sponsor Massey Services.

In the small town of River Heights, Nancy Drew faces her greatest challenge as she seeks to solve the biggest mystery of her young career in Nancy Drew and Her Biggest Case Ever. A mysterious stranger brings news of a missing fortune, and only Nancy can save the day. Clues are found, motives are revealed, but will Nancy solve the mystery in time? Adapted for the stage by John Maclay and based on the classic mystery series by Carolyn Keene, the original super sleuth Nancy Drew and all her friends are ready to find all the answers and not let anything ruin their fun. Missing this show would be a crime!

"In preparing to write this adaptation, John Maclay and I immersed ourselves in all things Nancy Drew", says director and playwright Jeff Frank. "The more we researched, the more our appreciation of Nancy Grew. She was indeed a young woman well ahead of her time. In an era when society, and much of literature, was encouraging women to wait at home to be rescued by mythological princes, Nancy Drew was hard at work rescuing those in need of help."

Nancy Drew and Her Biggest Case Ever is written by John Maclay and Jeff Frank, and is based on the books by Carolyn Keene and Mildred Wirt Benson.

Nancy Drew and Her Biggest Case Ever plays Saturdays and Sundays from April 10 through May 14, 2017 at 2pm and 5:30pm. Tickets are $20 for adults, $18 for students, seniors (55+), and members of the military with valid ID, and $14 for the youth (ages 3 to 17).

The REP also offers special performances of Nancy Drew and Her Biggest Case Ever. There is an ASL performance, translated by an American Sign Language Interpreter, on Monday, April 17 at 10:30am. Backstage Tours are offered on May 6 and 13 following the 5:30pm performance. Tickets are $5 per person and space is limited, so make sure you reserve your spot early in advance at the Box Office!

The cast stars Jillian Gizzi as Nancy Drew along with Lauren Barton, Maddie Belanoff, Greg Coleman, Sara Costello, Bradley Egan, Savannah Grace Elmer, Tristian Flournoy, Jenny Gocek, Sarah Isola, Bryan Jager, Justin Mousseau, Rachel Nasby, Mark Sherlock, Kyle Stone, Michael Thibodeau, Monica Titus, Samantha Uhrig, and Martin Visser. Nancy Drew and Her Biggest Case Ever is directed by Jeff Frank with assistant direction by Julie Woods-Robinson, scenic design by Cindy White, costume design by Yao Chen, lighting design by Alyx Jacobs, sound design and composition by Anthony Narciso, props design by Tara Kromer, fight choreography by Bill Warriner, and stage management by Tiffany Lyn Meadows and assistant stage manager Brian Groth.
