A Debutante, a Russian Opera Diva, a French marquis, and ... a Suffragette? Mon Dieu! Being engaged at birth proves awkward for Elaine, The Debutante, and Philip, as they come of age with their own exotic ideas of an ideal partner. Theres a French Marquis for her, and a Russian Opera Diva for him. The Debutante is set in 1914 as Cubism, Art Deco and Womens Sufferage were racing throughout the world of art and culture. Spice or Comfort thats the question as deception and mistaken identity abound when the whole lot of colorful characters attempt to sort it out in Paris. What Victor Herbert does with a Cubist Opera should not be missed, says Alyce Mott, VHRP LIVE! Artistic Director and Librettist.

The Debutante presented by VHRP LIVE! features the voices of Claire Leyden, Drew Bolander, Vira Slywotzky, Nathan Hull, Alexa Devlin, David Seatter, Keith Broughton, Christopher Robin Sapp, Al-Jabril Muhammad, John Nelson, Charlotte Detrick, Stephanie Bacastow, Jonathan Hare, Hannah Holmes, Shane Brown and JoAnna Geffert.

Supported by generous funding from The Victor Herbert Foundation, VHRP LIVE! is a registered 501(c)(3) corporation founded in 2014 by the companys Artistic Director Alyce Mott, a leading Herbert historian and librettist and Music Director Michael Thomas. For more information please visit www.vhrplive.orgKaren HudsonVictor Herbert Renaissance Project LIVE!Email us here:info@karenhudson.com
