The award-winning Broken Box Mime Theater (BXBX) returns Off-Broadway with SKIN, an all-new collection of over a dozen short plays connected through the familiarity of change—and the audience’s imagination. Recipient of three New York Innovative Theatre Awards, SKIN will be performed at the Jeffrey and Paula Gural Theatre at the A.R.T./New York Theatres (502 West 53rd Street and 10th Avenue, NYC) for a limited engagement from Thursday, January 18, 2019 through February 3, 2019.
Told with both humor and heart without a single spoken word, SKIN features stories both lighthearted and timely—from sitcom stars and bearded Brooklynites to those facing the consequences of their actions in the #MeToo era. Set to original music, BXBX takes throwback French pantomime and reimagines it through the lens of contemporary American theatre. SKIN is led by Artistic Director Becky Baumwoll and is comprised of the same range of stories that have catapulted BKBX among NYC’s favorite storytellers.
Tickets are $25 in advance and $30 at the door, and can be purchased at www.brokenboxmime.com or by calling 800-838-3006.
