Back by popular demand following its first US tour, Troy Lingelbach's solo show International Lover returns to House of Yes for one night only!
International Lover is a conversation about gender between an artist and a trapeze. Through aerial, dance, and performance art, Troy Lingelbach exposes the conflict of their mind, body, and spirit, reckoning with relationships, gender dysphoria, body dysmorphia, and addiction. Learning to embrace their full self, they become the "International Lover" (Prince, 1999).
Troy Lingelbach is one of NYC's most recognizable cabaret and variety artists, performing at House of Yes, Company XIV, The Box, The Stranger, and The Slipper Room. Their work has taken them around the world to perform at The Wintergarten (Berlin), The Box SoHo (London), the Lucerne Culture and Congress Centre (Lucerne), Casa Chango (Puerto Escondido) and across the US. In this venture into long-form work Troy strips back the nightlife persona they have created to reveal the many layers of themself unseen by audiences.
