EKPHRASIS A FEW WORDS ABOUT ART- a slightly eccentric, look at Art from 12 viewpoints, painters, subjects, Forgers, viewers, Art we love and hate, some serious, some not. Everything from why Sir Henry Raeburn painted a horse backward to Song Dong’s Mother’s house spread out on the floor of MOMA. Created by Lucy Avery Brooke and directed by Page Clements.

Her Writing- First seen as a part of “No Shame”, the Public Theatre in NYC. "EXPHRASIS, A Few Words About Art”,was workshopped at The Cornelia Street Cafe in NYC. Her Acting- She has talked dirty to Jeff Bridges, refused Susan Sarandon a job, and slapped Josh Hamilton. Her Art- Her paintings have been sold and seen from California to New York, Maine to Key West. www.lucyaverybrooke.com

Director
Page Clements (Director) returns to EKPHRASIS, A Few Words About Art, having previously directed its workshop in NYC. Other directing credits include The Sweet Spot by Alice Jankell at 59e59 Theaters, Blood and Water by Rachel Brill, Cynthia Shaw's award winning solo show, Velvet Determination, one-act plays at the T. Schreiber Shorts and New Works Festivals, and she was the vocal coach for Ted Greenberg's one-man show, Ace, in its 5-week Off-Broadway run. She is currently a vocal, dialect, and Shakespeare instructor at the T. Schreiber Acting Studio, where she has taught for over 20 years. www.pageclements.com
