Now playing at The Wild Project through Sunday, August 26th is the BETWEEN THE SEAS FESTIVAL OF MEDITERRANEAN PERFORMING ARTS. Now in its second year, BETWEEN THE SEAS features a program full of theater, dance, film, readings, and a family friendly event at the Lower East Side Tenement Museum, drawing a diverse and exciting line up of arts events and artists from various countries along the Mediterranean Sea.

This year’s festival highlights include theatrical productions from Israel (Noa Dar and Rachel Erdos with Ido Tadmor), Lebanon (Lina Abiad), and Greece (Olga Pozeli); an exciting collaboration between Denmark's Mancopy Dance Company with dancers from Egypt, Lebanon and Palestine; NYC-based Turkish choreographer Korhan Basaran, the Spanish flamenco performer Rebeca Tomas, Italy's Celli Contemporary Ballet and much more.

The schedule varies, so visit The Wild Project’s website (http://thewildproject.com/performances/index.shtml) for details. Ticket Price: $20 Produced by Between the Seas

Up next, Thursday, August 30 through Sunday, September 9th is SATURN (a play about food), written by Jeremy Pickard, directed by Sarah Hughes, with Tyler Caffall, Tom Coiner, Ava Eisenson and Maria Portman Kelly.

Jack and Rhea have inherited a farm. Newly 30 and newly wed, their rustic life is a welcome change—until a handful of mysterious seeds and a land full of extraordinary vegetables put the fate of The Farm and their marriage at stake. Riffing on the myth of Cronos, Jack and the Beanstalk and contemporary agricultural conundrums, SATURN (a play about food) is the fifth in a series of Planet Plays exploring the intersection between environmentalism and theater.

Performances are at The Wild Project (195 E. 3rd Street, between Avenues A & B). Tickets can be purchased from OvationTix on 212.352.3101 or online at www.wildproject.com Box Office opens one hour prior to curtain.
