Recovering executive, Keith Alessi, reinvents himself as a writer-performer and banjo enthusiast to tell us about a boy's life, a man's meteoric rise to business fame, and the shocking event that slammed on the brakes. Engaging and uplifting, Alessi encourages us to pursue our passions! Audiences are enamored with this unique one-man show, a true story told with humor, warmth, music, and banjos! Tomatoes Tried To Kill Me But Banjos Saved My Life is an inspiration.

Keith's previous performances in New York City were on Wall Street, where he was well known as a successful public company CEO. He has run companies in both the United States and Canada.

Encouraged by others to tell his personal story of challenges and triumph, Keith wrote Tomatoes Tried to Kill Me and performed it in Chicago, Toronto, Edmonton and Vancouver during 2018. He is excited to kick off 2019 at the Frigid Fringe in New York. He will be taking the show to Brighton, UK, Orlando, Windsor, Edmonton and Vancouver Fringes this summer.

A dual US/Canadian citizen, Keith splits his time between his homes in Vancouver, British Columbia and Roanoke,Virginia. He received his MBA from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, and is currently an adjunct Professor of Law at the Washington and Lee University Law school in Lexington, Virginia. In his free time, he pursues his passions of flying and banjos!
