Stage Left Studio will present the remaining special performances of THE VEGAS PROJECT, on October 22 and October 23. THE VEGAS PROJECT is lived, survived, written and performed by THERESA GAMBACORTA and directed by Cheryl King.

Last year, shortly after her father, Joe, passed away author/actress Theresa Gambacorta got a call from her mother, Joanne, at four in the morning, informing Theresa that Joanne had just US Postal Expressed Joe's funeral Urn to the Business Center at The Orleans Hotel in Las Vegas, the town Joe most cherished on earth.

Using her Southwest Airlines Rewards Points, she had arranged a $10 ticket for her daughter who needed only to meet her at the Business Center, pick up Joe, and celebrate one last annual family furlough in Sin City.

Joanne was also bringing her best friend Sharon whose habit of constantly addressing the Urn at the top of her lungs as if it were deaf unnerves more than one tourist.

Joanne, Sharon and Joe's Urn are flying in from Scranton, Pennsylvania.

Theresa's 2,570-mile journey of reconciliation starts in New York, New York.

Directed by Cheryl King, "THE VEGAS PROJECT" is an achingly hilarious re-telling of that weekend in Las Vegas written and performed by the daughter that lived it, suffered it, survived it and learned the biggest lesson of her life from it: if you love someone you love them all the way for all that they are.

To meet the play's characters is to become addicted to them. They are in no particular order: Theresa, the daughter; Hank, the son-in-law; Joanne, the widow; Sharon, the enabler; Lois, the octogenarian waitress at The Prime Rib Loft; the full-of-herself Russian Hostess at The Loft; Diego, the bell hop; Marissa, the massage therapist and Joe, a stand-up guy who knew how to love his family.

This play will break your heart.

See it before they make the movie.
