St. George Theatre Announces 30 Day Closure, Postponing all Events

St. George Theatre has released the following statement regarding upcoming performances:

To the St. George Theatre community:

The health and safety of our community we love and serve, is our top priority, and our thoughts are with those impacted by the COVID-19 global pandemic. Since it first surfaced, our team has been monitoring the situation closely and taking every precaution to keep our patrons, staff, artists, and community safe. To this end, we are announcing that, effective immediately, there is a 30 day closure of the theatre, postponing all shows (see below).

The Machine performs Pink Floyd, March 13 postponed, new date August 13

The Irish Tenors, March 15 postponed, new date December 16

Air Supply, March 21 postponed, new date October 18

Tony Bennett, March 27 postponed, new date June 4

Ticket holders will be notified when a new date is determined for each show. Original tickets will be honored for the new show dates; Ticket holders do not need to exchange their tickets if they plan to attend the new show. If unable to attend on the new dates, refunds will be issued upon request at the original point of purchase, via Ticketmaster or the St. George Theatre Box Office at 718-442-2900.

Lastly, you can trust that:

We increased the frequency of cleaning, sanitizing everything throughout the venue.

We're encouraging our staff to take common-sense health precautions recommended by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), such as frequent hand washing or using alcohol-based hand sanitizer with at least 60 percent alcohol to stay healthy.

Our construction projects are still on-going with no interruption at this time.

As this continues to unfold, we will further evaluate the situation and communicate our plans.

Thank you for your understanding our decision and continuing to support us during this crisis. We are all in this together and we apologize for any inconvenience to you. Be safe!
