Sordid Details Theatre Co Premieres SIGNS OF LIFE 7/24
Sordid Details Theatre Company is proud to announce the World Premiere of "Signs of Life," by Loretta O'Neil Black, the first installment in a weekly "soap opera theatre" production beginning July 24, 2009 at 11:59 p.m at the Producer Club Theatre at 358 W. 44th Street in New York City. Tickets are $10 on sale at the box office one hour before the show opens.
The show is an ongoing, weekly, episodic soap opera dramedy that brings all of the flash, entertainment and hype of daytime dramas into the chaotic life of three New York City girls. The cast is comprised of Bridgit Boulahanis, Katy Garceau, Max Emerson, Alexa Amendolagine, Charlie McAteer, William Forsyth and Max Bisantz. The show is directed by Loretta O'Neil Black with musical direction and live accompaniment by Ezra Pugh.
Ms. Black stated, "You'll laugh, you'll cry, you'll say ‘Oh, Damn!'"
Sordid Details Theatre Co. strives to encourage audiences to eliminate apathy from the way they view the world, increase political and social awareness, and encourage growth and communion of the human spirit in ways only theatrical performances facilitate. We hope to re-invent, re-ignite, and re-invigorate theatre as we know it by creating theatre that challenges, educates, and inspires through fresh, dynamic writing performed by individuals personally invested in the tenets of truth, curiosity, adventure, courage and an endless hunger for more.
