RISK! To Feature Garofalo, Dratch, Wilson And More At Joe's Pub, 10/14

RISK!, a new stage show created by The States Kevin Allison will play Joe's Pub on October 14. The unique concept show will showcase creative people telling true stories in risky ways, talking about taking risks, and taking on risky subjects. 

Allison also hosts RISK! as an audio podcast on Breakthru Radio and iTunes. Participants in this stand-up-like live show will include SNL alum Rachel Dratch, Janeane Garofalo, Casey Wilson, Zak Orth, Melanie Hamlett, Christian Finnegan, Michelle Walson, Tom Shillue, Jon Friedman, Ophira Eisenberg, Andy Borowitz, Mather Zickel, Keith Powell, Starlee Kine, Kumail Nanjiani, and Elna Baker.

Kevin Allison is a comedic writer and actor. He is perhaps best known as a writing and performing member of The State on MTV. Popular State sketches featuring Allison are "Taco Man," "Dreamboy" and "The Jew, the Italian and the Redhead Gay." Allison's most recent film and TV appearances include Reno 911!: Miami, The Ten, Wedding Daze, VH1's Best Week Ever and HBO's Flight of the Conchords. He writes for TV and companies like JibJab and Blue Man Group Productions. Allison teaches sketch comedy and film classes at New York University and at the People's Improv Theater in New York City, where he also served as the theater's artistic director. He is currently developing a new TV series and working on a How-To book on creating sketch comedy.
