The Players Theatre is proud to present two performances of Cirque Jacqueline, the revealing one-woman play about Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis. Cirque Jacqueline is written and performed by Andrea Reese and directed by Charles Messina. Performances take place Saturday, July 25th, 8pm, and Sunday, July 26th, 3pm, at The Players Theatre Loft located at 115 MacDougal Street (3rd Floor) between West 3rd St. & Minetta Lane in NYC. Tickets are $20 and can be purchased online at www.JackieOShow.com or by calling 1-866-811-4111.

Following the suggestion of acclaimed director Jim Simpson, Andrea Reese combined her theatrical experience with extensive research on Jackie O. and a startling resemblance to the icon to create Cirque Jacqueline, a riveting drama. In Cirque Jacqueline, we meet the real Jackie who hid beneath a carefully constructed public persona. The play covers Jackie's childhood with a womanizing father and abusive mother, her joys and struggles within her marriage to Jack Kennedy, her trauma during and after the assassination, her scandalous marriage to Aristotle Onassis and her blossoming interests and loves during the last decades of her life.

"Andrea Reese channels Jackie O. in this one-woman show. The upshot is a character of both charm and substance." - The New Yorker

"Andrea Reese is the quintessential Jackie and channels the former first lady down to the last detail." - The Journal News (Gannett)

"Amazing...Very authentic, very real." - CBS-TV News

"An absorbing one-woman show. Cirque Jacqueline promises and delivers a circus, but it's the quietly dignified solo act in the center ring that's most memorable." - The Boston Globe

"Cirque Jacqueline is magnifique! A moving and most impressive performance." - Back Stage

Cirque Jacqueline is directed by Charles Messina, whose theater credits include; Writer/Director of Mercury: The Afterlife and Times of a Rock God, Director of Rockaway Boulevard, Writer/Director of The Great Divide and Director of The Accidental Pervert. For the big screen, he wrote the film Spy, starring Vincent Pastore, Frank Vincent and Ben Curtis. Messina recently completed the book, My Father, My Don, about the life of Genovese Capo James "Jimmy Nap" Napoli and his son Tony Napoli, which was released by Beckham Publications Group this past fall.

The non-speaking role of Dr. Max Jacobson is played by Paul Urban.

Running time is 85 minutes with no intermission. Appropriate for ages 16 and up. Trains: A,B,C,D,E,F to West 4th St.
