Onomatopoeia Theatre Opens MACBETH Tonight at Gene Frankel Theatre

The Onomatopoeia Theatre Company (OTC), under the artistic direction of Thomas R. Gordon, kicks off its 2nd season ("a season focused on dreams") with Shakespeare's classic bloody tale - MACBETH, previews began April 25 prior to an official press opening of Sunday, April 28 at the Gene Frankel Theatre (24 Bond Street) in Manhattan. MACBETH will run through May 5th, 2013.

Directed by Thomas R. Gordon, MACBETH will feature a cast that includes: Christian Titus (as Macbeth), Danielle Patsakos (as Lady Macbeth), Thomas Mendolia, Emily Dalton, Joel Fullerton, Jocelyn Vammer, Charles Baker, Dana Gaubatz, Ivey Lowe, Erika Santosuosso and Charly Bivona.

The design team for MACBETH will be Zach Serafin (set design), Tasha Partee (Production Manager) Charlotte Gaspard (costume design) & Thomas R. Gordon (lighting and sound design).

Now in its second season, The Onomatopoeia Theatre Company is made-up of Thomas R. Gordon (Artistic Director), Tasha Partee (Production Manager), Charlotte Lily Gaspard (Costume Designer) and Zachary Serafin (Technical Director) and strives to not only entertain, enlighten and educate its audiences, fostering connections between local communities and organizations, as well as serving as a catalyst for further education, discussion and study about theatre and the arts. The Onomatopoeia Theatre Company also focuses on theatre that speaks for the underdog and is dedicated to producing shows that can change a person's heart and imagination. Previous productions include re-imagined productions of Chekhov's THE THREE SISTERS, Shakespeare's THE TEMPEST and Aristophanes' LYSISTRATA (set in modern-day Wall Street).

The Onomatopoeia Theatre Company will next present the world-premiere of DRACULA: BLOODLINES from August 22 through September 8 and A DREAM PLAY from November 7 through November 17, both at the Gene Frankel Theatre.

Scheduled April 25 through May 5 MACBETH will have a performance schedule of Thursdays through Saturdays at 8pm and Sundays at 1:30pm. Tickets are $20 (with a $1.69 service fee) for General admission and $10 (with a $1.34 service fee) for students, and can be purchased online at www.theonomatopoeiatheatrecompany.com.
