Manhattan Theatre Mission Presents keepingabreast 10/21-29
Manhattan Theatre Mission is thrilled to announce the New York premiere of their newest production, "keepingabreast," a play delving into the younger side of breast cancer, which will run from October 21st through 29th at the Looking Glass Theatre.
"Keepingabreast" follows 28-year old Mina who, after being faced with the choice between a mastectomy or lumpectomy, sets out on a mission to explore the true meaning of breasts, their impact on society, and just why do they call them ta-tas anyway? A funny and touching look into a normally dark subject, this dramatic comedy has something that everyone can relate to.
Written by Jackie Rosenfeld, keepingabreast will be directed by breast cancer survivor, Heidi Smith, with a cast that includes Cameran Hebb as Mina, Kimberly Shoniker and Kire Tosevski.
Tickets to the show are $20 and available at manhattantheatremission.com. The Looking Glass Theatre is located at 422 West 57th St, New York, NY 10019.
Manhattan Theatre Mission explores unique educational opportunities that focus on establishing environments where the performing arts become non-intimidating, tangible, and informative; therefore creating opportunities for participants
