Theater gets a lot prettier with the debut of Shim Mamsir Productions, a new New York City-based drag theater company. The company presents its inaugural outing, SHE'LL BE DYING, on Thursday Feb 25 at 8pm at Bowery Poetry Club (308 Bowery, between Houston and Bleecker -- accessible from the #6 train at Bleecker, F/V trains at 2nd Avenue, or the B/D trains at Broadway Lafayette). SHE'LL BE DYING is the first in a series of wholly unauthorized staged readings of plays, films,TV movies, sitcoms and after school specials -- all presented with a drag twist. Shim Mamsir Productions can't reveal the actual titles of the works presented, but they can give you a few hints: SHE'LL BE DYING is a teased up tail of Southern "hair-o-ines" so sugary sweet you will need a shot of insulin! The reading stars stars high voltage drag talents Sweetie, Mimi Imfurst, Bianca DelRio, Bianca Leigh, Lavinia Co-op and Dallas Dubois.

SWEETIE burst onto the drag scene at The Pyramid Club in 1991. One of many major drag stars that were born out of Linda Simpson's legendary drag fest Channel 69. Sweetie soon began working as one of Matthew Kasten's BoyBar beauties and then really spread her wings by fusing drag and theater at the late, great Jackie 60. Early works included her creation of the heartbreaking Big Sue, The Secret Sex Diaries of Eleanor Roosevelt and the award winning Christina Onassis Story. Sweetie has enjoyed successful runs at downtown institutions PS122, HERE Performance Space and The Public Theater. Sweetie has also had the good fortune of performing in TWEED Theater Productions alongside many of downtown's greats. Along with her long list of theater credits, "New York City's Big Titted Honky Soul Momma" has also appeared in major motion pictures and television. Sweetie received raves at Sundance's Slam Dance for her portrayal of Inez in Etienne Kallos' dark re-telling of Sartre's No Exit, and has recently been touring with the drag documentary Charmed Life in which she is a major subject. She has been named Drag Entertainer of the Year on two occasions by her peers at The Glammy Awards and is touted as New York City's Best Lipsync Artist.

MIMI IMFURST most recently starred in the sold-out run of the Off-Broadway musical Rhoda Heartbreak as the show's title character. Prior to that she created the title role in the celebrated Off-Broadway production of The Diary of Anne Frankenstein. Her favorite New York and regional theatre credits include Hedwig and the Angry Inch (Hedwig), The Rocky Horror Show (Frank N' Furter), and The Facts of Life: The Lost Episode (Natalie). Her TV/FILM Credits include MTV's Jackass, The Howard Stern Show, The Real World, Nick and Nora's Infinite Playlist and hostess for Logo's Big Gay Sketch Show. She has worked for the Tony Awards, Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS, and the Oxygen TV Network for Dance Your Ass Off and The Naughty Kitchen She is a cast member of a new TV reality show The Queens of Drag: NYC, which is currently in development. Her annual holiday show about the Virgin Mary is now preparing for its 5th year and has played to sold out crowds in New York City and across the country from Maine to California. BIANCA LEIGH's stage roles include Time in Taylor Mac's The Lily's Revenge, Livia in Theatre Askew's I Claudius Live, Margareta de Peyster in William Hoffman's Cornbury, The Queen's Governor, and Madeline Andrews in Sweetie's production of Vampire Lesbians of Sodom. Miss Leigh won praise for her role as Mary Ellen in the groundbreaking film TransAmerica. Bianca will be performing her solo musical piece A Night At The Tombs at the Bowery Poets Club in June.

BIANCE DEL RIO is has starred in theatrical productions including Pageant(Miss Industrial Northeast, Tawny Jo Johnson), Psycho Beach Party(Marvel Anne), Gypsy( Miss Mazeppa), the original musical Hollywood Heaven, and Bianca's Remote Out of Control. As a costume designer, she has received 13 Big Easy Entertainment Award Nominations, winning 6 awards with The Snow Queen, Ruthless, The Will Rogers Follies, Daryl's Perils, Beehive and Hollywood Heaven. She has constructed costumes for the New Orleans Opera, Six Flags New Jersey, and Barbara Matera Ltd. in New York City. Bianca has hosted the annual Bourbon Street Costume Awards at Mardi Gras and Drag Brunch at the W Hotel. She has also emceed Bianca's Comedy and Variety Show, Drag Bingo, and Illusions at OZ, for 7 years in his native New Orleans. On TV she has appeared on MTV's Mardi Gras from New Orleans with Britney Spears, Carson Daly and Molly Sims, Mardi Gras Unmasked for the Travel Channel, The Craig Kilborn Show and A&E's Airline. Some of her more dubious achievements have been winning the New Orleans Gay Entertainer of The Year(3 years), New Orleans Gay Bitch of the Year(6 years) and 2001 Southern Decadence Grand Marshall.

DALLAS DUBOIS is a musical theater trained actor who's credits have included film, television and Off-Broadway productions. "Broadway's Drag Diva" herself feels most comfortable when on a stage and loves to share experiences onstage with others. As a nightlife entertainer Dallas performs weekly at many local venues including Bar-Tini, Boots and Saddle, Evolve and the legendary Stonewall Inn. Additionally, Dallas is presently in rehearsals for a Broadway revue show staring herself and the new boy sensation, "The Hunties". Tour dates and locations to come. LAVINIA CO-OP, the legendary BLUE LIPS performer, hails from London's East End where she started performing in the cub-scouts and solo falsetto in the school choir. Trained in Martha Graham and ballet, she is now an Alexander teacher. In the late 70s she co-founded a gay vaudeville style, song and dance, tap dancing toe queens troupe. With them, she appeared in: The Ugly Duckling, Cheek,Vamp and Camp, Lust in Space, Sticky Buns, Yum-Yum, Living Leg-ends, Slungback and Strapless, Teenage Trash, Get Hur, Island of Lost Shoes. After moving here to New York in the 90s she has appeared in numerous production both in New York and London, including her own solo pieces like Frock Me, Frock you and Frock Off, and Installations Instillettos. She is one of the original and oldest "method" go-go dancers around.
