D3C Partners with Brooklyn College for LOVED TO THE POINT OF MADNESS Tonight

Greenwich Village mainstay Dialogue with Three Chords (D3C) teams with Brooklyn College, the alma-mater of D3C co-founders Stephen Gracia and Michael LoPorto, to present their spring season opening performance: "Loved To The Point Of Madness."

Described by Gracia as "a collection of romantic manifestos for the beautiful and doomed," the shorts pair Brooklyn College BFA Acting program undergrads with seasoned D3C actors. The performance will feature live music and admission is free, with any donations going towards the BFA actors' showcase later this year. The show starts at 8pm tonight, March 26 at Dennehy's on 63 Carmine Street, New York, NY 10014.

"We are excited that our BFA actors will be working with the skilled and versatile artists of D3C," said Rose Burnett Bonczek, Head of the Brooklyn College BFA Acting program. She described D3C as a "dynamic theater company, "and said their "mission of creative play weaves beautifully into the fabric of the goals of our training program." The Brooklyn College students will pair with D3C actors in the four scenes that form "Loved To The Point Of Madness," which finds a series of "couples" in a hotel bar drinking to the chaos, paganism, and sick despair of true love.

LoPorto was excited by the possibilities the collaboration offered, saying: "new players means new energy. Our process is fast by design, and we require people who can make choices, commit to those choices, and see those choices through and the Brooklyn College program churns out just those kind of actors." For her part, Bonczek agreed, saying: "D3C brings writers, actors, musicians and directors together to do, to collaborate, and to trust the stories they create together...we look forward to a harmonious relationship."

"Loved To The Point Of Madness" features: Jessica Bathurst as Carson, Larry Greenbush as Emperor Norton, Chakeefe Gordon as Andre, Alexandra Slater as Eris, Conor Sullivan as Reeves, Jennie West as Elisa, John Wiesenburger as Barbatus, and Tina Wong-Lu as Aset.

Dialogue with Three Chords was founded by Stephen Gracia and Michael LoPorto and applies the do-it-yourself philosophy of punk to the stage and features short plays and live music. Their work has also been produced at Sargent Theatre, Makor Theater, DUMBO Theatre Exchange, Levenson Hall at Brooklyn College, and the Theaters at 45 Bleecker.

The Brooklyn College BFA Acting program offers intensive courses in Stanislavsky-based acting, Alexander technique, improvisation, voice production, diction and dialects, solo performance, stage combat, the business of acting, acting with the camera, and theater history.
