CONCRETE TIMBRE and THE OLD STONE HOUSE announce Anna Strong's Laundry, a multidisciplinary performance with live original contemporary music, poetry, drama, dance, and projections intertwined into a celebration of Brooklyn's diversity today and throughout America's fight for freedom. Anna Strong's Laundry is Directed by Patrice Miller.

Anna Strong's Laundry will have 2 performances in the Great Room at The Old Stone House (336 3rd St., between 4th & 5th Avenues, in Washington Park, Brooklyn, NY). The performances are tonight, August 21, 2014 at 8:00 pm and Friday, August 22, 2014 at 8:00 pm. Press are invited to the performance.

Anna Strong's Laundry features four short pieces with live original contemporary music, poetry, drama, dance, and projections intertwined into a celebration of Brooklyn's diversity today and throughout America's fight for freedom. The Old Stone House is hosting the 2014 commemoration of the Battle of Brooklyn that took place in August 1776.

Concrete Timbre has put together an evening of short pieces as part of the commemoration that include:

- Morri?gan an exploration of the Celtic goddess of battle, strife, and sovereignty with a Scenario and Music by Milica Paranosic, Film by Carmen Kordas, Poetry by Roger Bonair-Agard, and Choreography by Michelle Stuckey.

- They Disappeared / As Time Stops, a new play by Mark Farnen based on the lives of ordinary people with the Old Stone House in Brooklyn as the setting in three eras of American patriots: the American Revolution, World War II, and the war in Iraq. Music by Manuela Lechler and Ann Warren.

- A Strong Lady, a dance featuring the story of revolutionary spy, Anna Strong. Scenario by Nancy Greening, Music by Manuela Lechler, and Choreography by Patrice Miller.

- Elemental Woman, Beginning in 1775, from Saint Domingue to Nouvelle Orleans, she is now a free woman of color and property owner, and an inspiration to her daughters of the future. Music by Ann Warren, Poem by Lynne Procope.

Anna Strong's Laundry features performances by: Lynnette Freeman, Cary Hite, Manuela Lechler, Kyoko Oyobe, Milica Paranosic, James Stokes, Michelle Stuckey, Joe Tucker, Ann Warren, and Stephanie Willing.

The Old Stone House, located in a reconstructed 1699 Dutch farmhouse that was central to the Battle of Brooklyn, the Old Stone House is a museum and community resource that explores the American Revolution, colonial life and Brooklyn.
