Created by some of NYC's best and brightest talent: "Twilight: The Musical!" is an hysterical parody that is a combination of "Urinetown" and "Spring Awakening" and definitively proves that with the right combination of cast, story, and creative team, you can have a successful vampire musical! A performance of the musical, as well as an "in concert" event have recently been uploaded on YouTube. Twilight: The Musical! was originally performed and filmed in March, 2010 at the LABA Theater, NYC. The book was written by Ashley Griffin, with music and lyrics by Jade Bartlett, Kim Dunbar, Jeremy Ezell, Ashley Griffin, Sean Mahoney, David Mallamud, Elyssa Samsel, and Michael Sutherland, with the (fake) twirock sensation: Bella and the Cullens. It was directed and fight choreographed by Michael Mannin, with choreography by Eddie Gutierrez. The performance was filmed byCase Aiken. The cast included Jack Holahan (Edward Cullen) and William Cruz Candelario (Jacob Black).

Twilight: The Musical! (In Concert) was presented June 29th at the LABA Theater. It was directed by Georgia Hair, and choreographed by Eddie Gutierrez (with additional choreography by Michael Bennett and The Hillywood Show). The cast included Jack Holahan (Edward Cullen), Carly Sakolove (Stephanie Meyer), and William Cruz Candelario (Jacob Black).

Writer Ashley Griffin says, "'Twilight: The Musical!' was originally done as a YouTube project (complete with a fake Twirock band created to promote the project called "Bella and the Cullens" who supposedly "wrote" the show. And yes, the Twilight community actually thinks they're real, despite the ridiculous web interviews featuring lead singer "Mina Meriweather.") The idea was to create something that looked like it was a show that was up and running, and one day a camera just came in to film. In reality it was a fantastically crafted film project meant to showcase the talents of the artists involved. It is currently being edited, and the full show will be up soon. However, the project began to take on a life of its own. These were songs we couldn't get out of our heads, and there were lines of dialogue that became running jokes after the project was done. And people kept wanting to know when it would have an actual run so they could see it. So, to our great joy, we all came together again to do this industry concert."
