A Family's Curse... Poseidon Theatre Company to Present ANTIGONE

By:

Poseidon Theatre Company brings their style of storytelling, movement and design to its inaugural production in an adrenaline laced take on this timeless tale. Set in an immersive & intimate venue with an original contemporary score.

Directed by Aaron Salazar with Music by Conor Heffernan. Featuring: Katie Willmorth as Antigone, Emma Howard as Creon, Caroline Banks as Ismene and Eurydice, Colin Friend as the Watchman and Tiresias, Gordon Palagi as Haimon and the Messenger, Valarie Ni Loinsigh, Dara Kramer, Hayden Moore & Zora Iman Crews as the Chorus.

Poseidon Theatre Company mines for gold with this 2500 year old tale. Exploring the politics of grief, loyalty, faith and family. Set in a contemporary purgatory of time between "then" and "now." Are we destined by outside forces to live an accursed life? Or do we take on the burden of consequence when choices are made for what we think is right.

Poseidon Theatre Company is committed to the continued exploration of classics & the development of new multidisciplinary work. P.T.C. strives to create visceral theatrical experiences that continue to communicate to modern audiences classic and new stories. Through the art of theatre P.T.C. hopes to create an immersive environment that is inclusive and accessible, thus making all involved feel unified in the journey of the human experience.
