Wide Eyed Productions (Kristin Skye Hoffmann, Artistic Director) kicks off its 2010 season with Stephen Adly Guirgis's The Last Days of Judas Iscariot. Directed by Rebecca Hengstenberg, the production runs through February 7, 2010 at The Richmond Shepard Theatre (309 E. 26th St.)

Simultaneously pious and profane, The Last Days of Judas Iscariotfollows the Trial of the Millennium. Between Heaven and Hell, two attorneys argue the fate of the Bible's most infamous sinner, Judas Iscariot. Mother Theresa, Satan, Sigmund Freud, and Pontius Pilate are among the witnesses called to testify in Stephen Adly Guirgis's seriocomic look at free will, destiny, forgiveness and redemption. Religion has never been this real.

The production features Jonny Beauchamp, Sebastian Citron, Joshua David Bishop, Trevor Dallier, Billy Dutton, Ali Gilberton, Andrew Harriss, Lincoln L. Hayes, Jason Loverde, Brianne Mai, Lisa Mamazza, Mavis Martin, Colin McFadden, Okieriete Onaodowan and Sage Seals. The production team includes Melissa Johnson (assistant director), Joshua David Bishop (set design), Jill Wetzel (costume design) Joe Novak (lighting design), Sara Troficanto (production stage manager) and Chad Errickson (assistant stage manager).

Performances of The Last Days of Judas Iscariot runs through February 7, 2010, Wednesday through Saturday at 8:00 pm and Sunday at 3:00 pm at The Richmond Shepard Theatre (309 East 26th St., between 1st and 2nd Ave.; Subway: 6 to 28th St.).
