A tantalizing glimpse behind the closed doors and unspoken secrets of Edwardian England, Tryst, a new play by Karoline Leach starring Maxwell Caulfield and Amelia Campbell will open Thursday, April 6th (7PM) at Off-Broadway's Promenade Theatre (Broadway at 76th Street).  Produced by Morton Wolkowitz and Barbara Freitag the play will be directed by Joe Brancato with preview performances slated to begin Tuesday, March 21st (7PM).

Part romance and part psychological thriller, Tryst tells the story of how George Love, a handsome conman who woos loved-starved women, meets Adelaide Pinchon, a desperate woman, who dreams beyond her mundane world at the local millinery store.  Mr. Love has a history of illicit affairs, but after meeting the fantasizing shop-girl ---- there is a twist of fate.

No stranger to the stage,
Maxwell Caulfield has starred in the Broadway production of An Inspector Calls, the acclaimed Off-Broadway productions of Entertaining Mr. Sloane, My Night with Reg and Salonica as well as the touring productions of The Elephant Man and Sleuth.  In addition to his numerous film credits which include Grease 2, The Boys Next Door and The Real Blonde, audiences will remember him from many television roles on such hit series as "Dynasty" and "The Colbys."
