The Rise of Dorothy Hale, the new mystery/thriller by Myra Bairstow, directed by Pamela Hall, welcomes Purva Bedi, Dina Ann Comolli, and Matthew Cowles to the cast, joining remaining cast members Patrick Boll, Laura Koffman, and Mark LaMura, beginning Monday November 12. They will be replacing Sarah Wynter, Sarita Choudhury and Michael Badalucco, respectively.

History has recorded that Dorothy Hale, the widow of American muralist Gardner Hale, died in New York City on October 21, 1938 after plunging sixteen stories from her apartment window at the Hampshire House on Central Park South.  She was thirty-three years old.  Dorothy's death was ruled a suicide. The story of Dorothy Hale has never really been thoroughly examined.  Until now.  The Rise Of Dorothy Hale explores the life and death of Dorothy Hale through the creative process of Frida Kahlo and enables the contradictions in history to stand face to face.

Extraordinary art ignites a quest for higher truth and evokes an awakened clarity.  Frida Kahlo left behind a liberation for Dorothy Hale by memorializing a story that would one day be uncovered and told. The Rise of Dorothy Hale emanates from a journey began through this greatly felt painting.

Performances are Monday, Wednesday through Saturday at 8 PM, with matinees Wednesday at 2PM and Saturday & Sunday at 3 PM at St Luke's Theatre (308 West 46th Street, between Eighth and Ninth Avenues). The Rise of Dorothy Hale is presented by Edmund Gaynes and Aridyne Productions, LLC.
