MAIEUTIC THEATRE WORKS is pleased to announce the world premiere of Jacqueline Goldfinger's THE OATH directed by MTWorks Executive Director, Cristina Alicea. THE OATH plays a three-week limited engagement at The ArcLight Theatre (152 W 71st St). Performances begin Thursday, April 23rd and continue through Sunday, May 10th.

Press are cordially invited: Friday, April 24th at 8 pm, Saturday, April 25th at 8 pm & Sunday, April 26th at 6 pm. (Non-official press dates may be accommodated upon request)

In this Southern Gothic tale, a wandering preacher is embroiled in the passions and politics of a swampy Florida outpost ruled with a macabre sense of justice by two rival sisters. The Oath is a darkly comic look at balancing ambition and ideals in a time of crisis.

The production features scenic design by Blair Mielnik, costume design by Jessica Hooks, lighting design by Dan Gallagher, and Sound design by Martha Goode. Jarid Sumner is the production manager, Raisa Noelle is the production stage manager and Chelsea Chorpenning is the Assistant Stage Manager.

THE OATH plays the following schedule through Sunday, May 10th:

Thursdays at 8pm
Fridays at 8pm
Saturdays at 8pm
Sundays at 6pm, followed by a talk-back with a special guest

Tickets are $18.00 and $15 students with valid I.D./Seniors. Advance tickets can be purchased online at www.TheaterMania.com, or by calling 212-352-3101. Tickets may also be purchased at the theatre's box office half hour before the performance.
