Stage Actor William McIntyre Dies at 80

Stage actor William McIntyre passed away on March 19 in his hometown of in Englewood, N.J. at the age of 80.  He died of natural causes, according to published reports. 

McIntyre was known most for his prolific career in off-Broadway, Main Stem and regional productions, as well as for his work in Broadway's The Secret Affairs of Mildred Wild. He starred for a time in off-Broadway's famed The Fantasticks, off-Broadway's You Can't Take It With You (his last production) performed in the National Tour of The Great White Hope, and was a regular at the Long Wharf, McCarter and Guthrie theaters. 

Family members are suggesting that any donations made in his honor go to the Actors Fund Home at 175 W. Hudson Ave., Englewood, N.J., 07631.
