Miracle House has a speciAl Block of orchestra tickets reserved for the new play, Impressionism, by Michael Jacobs, featuring Tony winners Joan Allen and Jeremy Irons. Following the performance, an After-Theatre Reception will be held at the legendary Sardi’s with Joan Allen. The After-Theatre Reception will celebrate Ms. Allen’s continued commitment to Miracle House. Along with her cast members, including Marsha Mason, we will be honoring Ms. Allen for her longstanding support and generosity to Miracle House. “I feel blessed to be a part of this compassionate organization. I have been privileged to witness first hand how Miracle House saves lives.” - Joan Allen on Miracle House The After-Theatre Reception will feature a silent auction with exciting NYC packages. Miracle House provides temporary housing, meals, and advocacy to caregivers and patients coming to New York City for critical medical treatment.
Impressionism is the story of a world traveling photojournalist and a New York gallery owner who discover that there might be an art to repairing lives. In addition to Ms. Allen and Mr. Irons, the stellar cast includes Marsha Mason, Andre De Shields, Michael T. Weiss, Margarita Levieva, Aaron Lazar and is directed by Tony Winner, Jack O’Brien.Impressionism will be Ms. Allen’s first time back on Broadway in 19 years. Allen is one of the New York theater world’s most honored actresses and winner of every major prize for her work on and off-Broadway. She won a Best Actress Tony Award for her performance in Lanford Wilson's Burn This, and was nominated in the same category for the title role in The Heidi Chronicles. Three-time Oscar nominee, Ms. Allen is one of the film world’s busiest actresses. Her roles in "The Contender," "The Crucible," and "Nixon" all garnered her Academy Award nominations. In 2007, she appeared opposite Matt Damon in the box-office smash, “The Bourne Ultimatum.” Allen has been a long time supporter of Miracle House and has been a spokesperson for the agency on various occasions.
