Solomon Returns To NYC With 'Italian/Jew/Therapy'

By: Mar. 20, 2008

Steve Solomon, the creator of the hit comedy My Mother's Italian, My Father's Jewish, and I'm In Therapy!  returns to the long-running New York production for one week only, April 21st - 25th, at The Westside Theatre (407 West 43rd Street, between 9th & 10th Aves.).  Solomon will be covering for a vacationing Paul Kreppel who assumed the role of "Steve" a year ago when Solomon launched the national tour of the show.

When Solomon opened the show in New York in November 2006, WOR Radio raived "Solomon is a major talent and a wonderful comedian" while The New York Post praised Solomon's "perfect comic timing."  Variety says "Steve Solomon is Alan King, Billy Crystal, a smidgen of Don Riickles and George  Carlin all thrown in."

"After a year on the road, what a thrill it is to come home to New York where it all began," says Solomon.  "While I've been touring the show, Paul Kreppel has been giving a brilliant performance playing "Steve" at The Westside Theatre.  (Can you imagine playing me eight performances a week for a year? No wonder he needs a vacation!)  I am looking forward to bringing my family from Sheepshead Bay back to my family on The Great White Way."

Steve Solomon's My Mother's Italian, My Father's Jewish, and I'm in Therapy! plays at The Westside Theatre (407 West 43rd Street, between 9th & 10th Aves.).
