SCHOOL OF ROCK to Be Presented by EPIC Junior at A.R.T./New York Theatres

EPIC Players will present EPIC Junior's School of Rock, Saturday June 20th, 2pm, Sunday June 21st, 2pm, at A.R.T/New York Theatres the Mezzanine, 502 West 53rd Street, 2nd Floor.

EPIC Junior, a program by EPIC Players, New York's leading Neuro-inclusive theater company, presents the rock musical School of Rock, featuring music composed by Andrew Lloyd Webber. The musical is an adaptation of the 2003 film of the same title, originally scripted by Mike White. The narrative focuses on Dewey Finn, a financially strained rock vocalist and guitarist. Dewey secures a position as a substitute teacher at an elite preparatory school under a false identity. Upon recognizing the musical aptitude of his fifth-grade pupils, he proceeds to organize them into a musical ensemble with the objective of participating in the impending Battle of the Bands competition.

Performed by EPIC Junior members ages 12–17, this production celebrates neurodiverse talent and inclusive storytelling. EPIC Junior is a theater program that opens the stage to all types of artists and believes our differences are our strengths, creating more representation, inspiration, and opportunities for Neurodivergent and Disabled performers.
