This was the moment when Broadway's own Robert Cuccioli lent his powerful vocals to a rendition of "The Star-Spangled Banner" before the New York Mets took on the Miami Marlins Wednesday night at Citi Field.

While the Mets prepare for the playoffs, Cuccioli is preparing to star in the York Theatre Company's production of Jerry Bock, Sheldon Harnick and Sherman Yellen's ROTHSCHILD & SONS, a reimagined version of their 1970 Broadway musical, THE ROTHSCHILDS.

Rothschild & Sons launches the York Theatre Company's 2015/16 season with the full involvement of the creators-Sheldon Harnick, Sherman Yellen and the estate of Jerry Bock. Based on their original The Rothschilds, inspired by the book of the same name by Frederic Morton, this intimate one-act reimagining of the musical focuses on the relationships between the patriarch of the family, Mayer Rothschild, his wife Gutele, and their five sons. The work is newly structured and features several songs not included in the original, with new lyrics by Mr. Harnick and a full 11-member cast bringing life to Mr. Yellen's highly relevant story of a family fighting for human rights and triumphing over extraordinary odds. Yellen dubs it a "musical love story about a father and his sons."
