On Thursday, January 30, 2014, after Michael Milligan's powerful off-Broadway production MERCY KILLERS, Teresa Eyring will conduct a talkback with three actors - all who have written and performed powerful, socially relevant plays produced by important regional theaters. This is the continuation of a conversation between MERCY KILLERS Director Tom Oppenheim and Teresa Eyring about actors who empower themselves by creating their own work and will begin at approximately 8:40PM, after the 7:30PM performance of MERCY KILLERS.

The conversation highlights the work of mister Milligan and others artists like him - actors who not only take their careers into their own hands but who recognize the power of craft to contribute to positive social transformation.

In early 2013, Tom Oppenheim (Stella Adler Studio) and Teresa Eyring (Theater Communications Group) met and the idea of Actor Warrior was born. In September Tom programmed a performance and discussion, held at the Lucille Lortel Theatre, moderated by Teresa with Lemon Andersen (County of Kings) and Michael Milligan (Mercy Killers). The packed, multigenerational audience experienced two exciting performers--and also learned about their views on the artist's civic role in society today.

Performances of MERCY KILLERS continue through February 16th, Wednesdays through Saturdays at 8:00PM with Saturday matinees at 2PM and Sunday matinees at 3:00PM. For a full schedule of performances around NYC visit www.workingtheater.org

Tickets are $25 (General Admission) and $23 (Students/Seniors/Union Members) and may be purchased in advance at www.smarttix.com or by calling 212-868-4444. For group rates, contact info@theworkingtheater.org. The running time is 65-minutes without intermission. Due to mature content, patrons under the age of 13 will not be admitted.
