Sex Tips for Straight Women from a Gay Man, the hit comedy written by Matt Murphy, based on the best-selling book by Dan Anderson and Maggie Berman, has announced that comedian and YouTube star Michael Buckley ("What The Buck?") and television and stage actress Anneliese van der Pol ("That's So Raven", Beauty and the Beast) will join the cast this summer as Dan and Robyn, for two weeks only - July 2-4 and 9-11 - at The 777 Theatre (777 Eighth Avenue, between 47th and 48th Streets). Buckley, making his Off-Broadway debut in Sex Tips, will also perform in the show's upcoming week-long run at The Provincetown Theater from August 3 - 8.

Michael Buckley is an American Internet celebrity, comedian, vlogger, entertainment host and pop culture expert. He was one of the first YouTube Partners and has made a career of developing original video content since 2008. His "WhatTheBuckShow" channel has over 400 million views and 1 million subscribers. In 2012, he won the "Live with Kelly" co-host search and appeared on the program for a week, and has hosted red carpets at the Teen Choice Awards and American Music Awards among others.

"I knew when I read the character description of 'DAN: a gay man' that THIS was the perfect role to stretch my acting chops and make my Off-Broadway debut," said Buckley. "I look forward to the challenge!"

Anneliese van der Pol, widely known for her role of Chelsea Daniels in the Disney Channel original series "That's So Raven," made her Broadway debut in 2007 as Belle in Beauty and the Beast, followed by her Off-Broadway debut in Vanities, A New Musical at Second Stage Theatre. Van der Pol's film credits include the vampire spoof film Vampires Suck and Bratz, and as a singer she has recorded several songs for The Walt Disney Company.

"I'm thrilled to join this hilarious Off-Broadway production!" said van der Pol. " And to all the fans of 'That's So Raven', you'll have to come see this one live because there's no way these tips will ever be seen on the Disney Channel!"

Now in its second smash year Off-Broadway, Sex Tips for Straight Women from a Gay Man takes the audience on a hilarious and wild ride where no topic is taboo and the insider 'tips' come straight from the source: a gay man. Directed by Tim Drucker, Sex Tips began performances on January 22, 2014 and opened on February 9, 2014. Sex Tips recently launched its national tour with a sold out run at the Temple Theater in Des Moines, Iowa and Milwaukee, Wisconsin with upcoming performances across several states including Florida, Texas, Massachusetts, Connecticut, Michigan, and North Carolina among others. Sex Tips can also be seen this summer at The Provincetown Theater starring Mr. Buckley from August 3 - 8.

Sex Tips for Straight Women from a Gay Man, written by Dan Anderson and Maggie Berman and published in 1997, championed the straight girl/gay guy friendship in mainstream pop culture and instantly became a national best-seller. The book was praised by the New York Daily News for "offering witty-and yes, explicit-descriptions of all manner of how-to's;" by The New York Post as "straightforward and saucy . . . a play-by-play account of how to make the most of every moment;" and by Salon.com as "a cannily entertaining romp through the nuts and bolts of sex from the male perspective." Now a cult classic, the book has also been published in Germany, Japan, Taiwan, Brazil, the Netherlands, Australia, England, and France.

The play has received the same adulation from the media with TheaterMania touting "SEX TIPS is one of the best date-night shows you'll see this year. Breathlessly entertaining! Uproariously funny! Hysterically titillating!" and Michael Musto for OUT Magazine giving the show, "Two wet thumbs up!" Broadway World calls the show "a night of fun and exhausting laughter that makes you feel good in all the wrong places" and the academics from Columbia Spectator call it "hysterical and better than sex!"

Presented by Matt Murphy and Shawn Nightingale, Sex Tips for Straight Women from a Gay Man has scenic design by Luke Cantarella, costume design by Tilly Grimes, lighting design by Brian Tovar, and video and sound design by Randy Blair.

Tickets are priced at $49.95 and $69.95 and are now on sale through September 6, 2015 via SexTipsPlay.com.
