Masterworks Theater Company is proud to announce that for the remaining performances of their hit production of Shakespeare's A Midsummer Night's Dream, they will offer free student rush 15 minutes to curtain with valid ID, in an effort to ensure that young people will have an opportunity to see this production.
A Midsummer Night's Dream is directed by Tamilla Woodard opened on June 11th at the 47th Street Theatre (304 West 47th Street). Tickets are $19 - $65. Tickets can be purchased by visiting www.ticketcentral.com or by calling 212-279-4200. "In the desire to make the point that the company wants to encourage more young people to attend the theater, Masterworks Theater Company will distribute no-cost student rush for all tickets that remain unsold at curtain time for each or the15 performance through June 28. A current, valid student ID is required," said Masterworks Theater Company's founding director, Eric Krebs. Set in a modern day playground, Midsummer Night's Dream, directed by Tamilla Woodard, riffs on the culture of uber celebrity, where Oberon and Tatiana are the Kanye and Kim of the fairy world.
