ORANGE FLOWER WATER tells the story of David and Cathy Larson and Brad and Beth Younquist who live with their children in the relatively peaceful town of Pine City, Minnesota. David and Beth, after years of maintaining a platonic friendship, begin an adulterous affair with disastrous consequences. Through a series of scenes which all take place around a single bed, we see the painfully intense unraveling of both marriages and, eventually, the construction of a very fragile but authentic new beginning for everyone concerned.

Writer Craig Wright is best known for his plays: THE PAVILION (Pulitzer Prize nominee, American Theatre Critics' Association Best New Play Award, Drama Desk Award for Outstanding Play), RECENT TRAGIC EVENTS, ORANGE FLOWER WATER, MELISSA ARCTIC, and MOLLY'S DELICIOUS. His television writing debut was on the HBO hit series SIX FEET UNDER, for which he was nominated an Emmy. After writing two episodes, Wright became a Supervising Producer of ABC's LOST, then a Co-Executive producer and writer on ABC's BROTHERS & SISTERS. During 2007, he worked as creator, head writer, and executive producer of ABC's DIRTY SEXY MONEY.

Director Bryn Boice most recently directed Theresa Rebeck's SUNDAY ON THE ROCKS for Ampersand Theatre Company at the Michael Weller Theater. She is the co-creator of Tax Deductible Theatre's THE DARE PROJECT, a series of short plays written solely on audience dares. Over its first two seasons, she published seven of her DARE plays and directed or acted in a dozen more. As an actor, she was most recently seen as Dorine in BTW's sold-out production of TARTUFFE, and is currently appearing as the Third Witch in Hipgnosis Theatre Company's MACBETH.

This is the first production for InProximity Theatre Company. Its founders Jolie Curtsinger and Laurie Schaefer met in Los Angeles as members of MetaTheatre Company. After years of working and studying together, they both joined Rogue Theatre Company as founding members for their inaugural production of Cheyenne. They produced and co-starred in Rogue's second show: The U.S. Premiere of Emma Frost's AIRSICK. During this process, the women bonded and recognized a common work ethic, a need to produce gripping stories riddled with raw honest truth, and a desire to do it all on the other coast. After moving to NYC individually, they reconnected and have stayed true to their vision by forming InProximity Theatre Company. Their commitment to honest contemporary storytelling is the inspiration that will drive this company forward while simultaneously bringing together a tremendous team of talented actors, writers, directors, and designers.

Jolie Curtsinger is also a member of Cockeyed Optimists Theatre Company and can currently be seen in Amy Fox's new play ONE THING I LIKE TO SAY IS at Access Theatre. (www.ceotheatre.org). Michael Poignand and Bryn Boice are currently performing in Hipgnosis Theatre Company's MACBETH at Clemente Solo Velez Center.
