'Fuerzabruta' Extends thru June 29
Due to popular demand, the theatrical spectacle Fuerzabruta, has extended its Off-Broadway run. The new show originally scheduled for an 18-week run through February 17, 2008 began performances October 11 and opened October 24 at the Daryl Roth Theatre. The show will now play through June 29, 2008.
"Breaking free from the confines of spoken language and theatrical convention, Fuerzabruta is an event where worlds collide and reality takes a back seat. Immersed in an environment where imagination soars, performers run through moving walls, race to connect from opposite sides of a whirling sail and frolic in a watery world suspended just above the audience. The non-stop action and kinetic aerial imagery is set to a dynamic soundtrack featuring percussive beats, engaging melodies and hypnotic ambient music," explain press notes.
Fuerzabruta will play at the Daryl Roth Theatre (20 Union Square East at 15th Street) on the following schedule: Tuesday through Thursday at 8PM, Friday at 8PM & 10:30PM, Saturday at 7PM & 10PM, and Sunday at 7PM.
Holiday Week: Wednesday 12/26 and Thursday 12/27 @ 8:00 PM, Friday 12/28 @ 8:00 & 10:30 PM, Saturday 12/29 and Sunday 12/30 @ 7:00 & 10:00 PM, Monday 12/31 @ 8:00 PM. There will be NO PERFORMANCES Monday 12/24, Tuesday 12/25, and Tuesday 1/1.
Tickets ($70) may be purchased online at Telecharge.com or by calling (212) 239-6200, or at the box office of the Daryl Roth Theatre. Group tickets maybe be purchased by calling 1-800-BROADWAY. For all performances, a limited quantity of $25 rush tickets (cash only) will be made available at the box office 2 hours before show time.
