FUERZA BRUTA Announces New Partnership with City Harvest

As FUERZA BRUTA comes to a close on January 5, 2014, the production will give back to its city that has embraced the show for more than six years with a partnership with City Harvest.

Now serving New York City for more than 30 years, City Harvest is the world's first food rescue organization, dedicated to feeding the city's hungry men, women, and children.

This year, City Harvest will collect 46 million pounds of excess food from all segments of the food industry, including restaurants, grocers, corporate cafeterias, manufacturers, and farms. This food is then delivered free of charge to more than 500 community food programs throughout New York City using a fleet of trucks and bikes. FUERZA BRUTA was created by Argentinean artistic director, Diqui James with the goal of forming a theatrical company in which creativity and experimentation are priorities. Since its debut in 2007, the production has played more than 2,000 performances for nearly one million audience members.
