FOR LOVE Set for Off-Broadway Run at Irish Repertory Theatre, Now thru 4/5
Irish Repertory Theatre presents the Off-Broadway premiere of FOR LOVE by award-winning actress and playwright Laoisa Sexton, with previews set to begin tonight, March 13, prior to an official press opening March 19, in Irish Repertory Theatre Company's W. Scott McLucas Studio Theatre (132 West 22nd Street).
FOR LOVE is a dark blue romantic comedy. Ireland is experiencing one of the greatest economic downturns in its history, the great recession, and three women in Dublin, are throwing down their handbags and looking for love, no matter what it costs.FOR LOVE is a relentless ride that takes audiences on a romp through the urban sexual experiences of three women in modern-day central Dublin. Is there more than a one-night stand in Val's future? Can Tina find the right dress if she's got the wrong man? Should Bee hop intobed with a married man or just go to the zoo? Or is there something else out there? Witness what it means to be single to three Irish women, what they will put themselves through, and what they will or won't do-FOR LOVE.
FOR LOVE contains adult material that may not be suitable for theatergoers under 18 years old.
Off-Broadway performances of FOR LOVE run tonight, March 13-April 5 at The Irish Repertory Theatre Company's W. Scott McLucas Studio Theatre (132 West 22nd Street, between 6th and 7th Avenues): Wednesdays at 3pm and 8pm; Thursdays at 7pm; Fridays at 8pm; Saturdays at 3pm and 8pm; and Sundays at 3pm (with the following exceptions: opening night, Tuesday, March 19 at 7pm; no matinee Wednesday, March 20; added 3pm matinee on Tuesday, April 3).
