Terry Schnuck, James & Catherine Berges, Crystal Beuerlein, and Michael & Noemi Neidorff, producers of the new Off-Broadway play Falling, have announced that they will donate $5 for each full-price ticket purchased for performances in October to Autism Speaks.

Falling, by Deanna Jent, begins an open-ended run Thursday September 27th at the Minetta Lane Theatre (18 Minetta Lane, one block south of West 3rd Street, just off Sixth Avenue). Opening Night for this Off-Broadway premiere is set for Monday October 15th (7PM).

Falling is a real life drama about how 18-year-old Josh, who has autism, affects the lives of everyone around him. When a relative comes to visit, the family is thrown off their equilibrium, with everyone trying to balance what is best for the family with what is best for each of them.

Autism Speaks is the world’s leading autism science and advocacy organization. It is dedicated to funding research into the causes, prevention, treatments and a cure for autism; increasing awareness of autism spectrum disorders; and advocating for the needs of individuals with autism and their families. Autism Speaks was founded in February 2005 by Suzanne and Bob Wright, the grandparents of a child with autism. Mr. Wright is the former vice chairman of General Electric and chief executive officer of NBC and NBC Universal. Since its inception, Autism Speaks has committed over $180 million to research and developing innovative resources for families. Each year Walk Now for Autism Speaks events are held in more than 95 cities across North America. To learn more about Autism Speaks, visit www.autismspeaks.org.

Lori Adams directs a cast that features Daniel Everidge (Grease, Fat Camp); Celia Howard (Fortinbras); Daniel Pearce (25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee; Sarah Ruhl’s Passion Play; King Lear, Measure for Measure; Henry V; Henry VI (NYSF/Public Theater); The Picture of Dorian Gray (Irish Rep); A Mother, a Daughter, and a Gun (New World Stages); and Love’s Fire (Public Theater); Jacey Powers (The Shanghai Gesture, Our Town); and Julia Murney (Wicked, The Wild Party [Drama Desk nom.], Vagina Monologues, Crimes of the Heart, Queen of the Mist, and Time and Again [Lucille Lortel nom.]).

Performances for Falling will be Tuesday at 7pm, Wednesday through Saturday at 8 PM, with Matinees Wednesday & Saturday at 2 PM, and Sunday at 3 PM. Tickets from $39.50 are available at TicketMaster.com, by calling toll-free 800-982-2787, or at the Box Office.
