Edwin Cahill, Jason Danieley, Anita Gillette, Piper Goodeve, and Bert Michaels will appear in a reading of 'Blue Roses', hosted by the York Theatre Company's Developmental Reading Series, on Thursday, October 15, at 3pm and 7:30pm. Tony Award-winner Albert Marre will direct the reading.

The musical is adapted from Tennessee Williams' classic, 'The Glass Menagerie', and features lyrics and book adaptation by Mimi Turque with music by Nancy Ford.

According to the York Theatre website, 'Blue Roses' is "a memory play with music" adapted from Tennessee Williams' classic, The Glass Menagerie. An empty theatre stirs the imagination of Tom, a poet/playwright, evoking his mother, sister, a gentleman caller, his father and us, his audience....and music to accompany his journey.
