Due to overwhelming audience response, Circumcise Me, written by and starring Yisrael Campbell has been EXTENDED. The hit off-Broadway comedy is now selling tickets through February 28, 2009 at The Bleecker Street Theatre (45 Bleecker Street just East of Lafayette).
"I am having the time of my life performing at The Bleecker Street Theatre and I can't thank audiences enough who have enjoyed the show and told their friends," said Yisrael Campbell. "I can only hope that these people make more friends, so we can keep extending. Might I suggest some Latke recipes?""We are so thrilled that audiences have embraced the hilarity and humanity in Yisrael's show. We are humbled that Circumcise Me has touched so many people, and glad that we can reach an even larger audience with the extension," said producer Eva Price.Circumcise Me tells the true story of Yisrael Campbell, your average Irish, Italian, Catholic kid from Philly, who became a sober alcoholic, recovering drug addict, husband, father, reform, conservative, unorthodox, orthodox, Jewish comic actor. In his New York theatrical debut, Yisrael (born Christopher) takes the audience on an extraordinary spiritual, creative, and hysterically funny journey including, ouch, three circumcisions along the way.Videos
