CAROL CHANNING In Concert Announces Hiatus; Skipper To Depart
The Camelback Kid (TCK), producer of the critically-acclaimed one-actor Off-Broadway production "Carol Channing" IN CONCERT, has announced that the New York City production, recently starring Richard Skipper, has gone on temporary hiatus after Mr. Skipper informed TCK that he is no longer available for performances.
TCK is currently recasting the role for both the New York City and out-of-town engagements, and will release further details as they become available.
"Carol Channing" IN CONCERT celebrates the career and persona of the unique theatrical legend. The musical evening surveys the songs best associated with the roles Channing has played in her stage and film career, and the show has many stops along the way for "Carol's" hilarious interactions with the audience.
The production is directed by Mark Robert Gordon and produced by The Camelback Kid (TCK). The Off-Broadway production began previews December 22, 2010 and opened January 12, 2011 at St. Luke's Theatre, 308 W. 46th Street, in Manhattan's Theater District.
